Job Title: Software Test Engineer

Job Duties:

Responsible for testing software to ensure its quality, finding and documenting defects, and managing a database of issues and resolutions. Key duties include:

1. Create and execute detailed test plans and cases for software, using both manual and automated methods in a distributed client-server environment.

2. Develop and implement manual test cases for specific software features, generating plans, reports, and designs while setting up test environments for optimal conditions.

3. Innovate and implement tools to automate software testing, aiming to improve delivery schedules and overall efficiency.

4. Organize and actively participate in the testing process, including requirements gathering, test plan creation, execution, issue management, and result reporting, following established testing methodologies.

5. Investigate and address various aspects of software testing, covering white box, black box, integration, and system testing to ensure a thorough and effective approach.

6. Collaborate with engineering team members to conduct software tests, ensuring adherence to quality specifications and standards.

7. Produce detailed reports on product compliance with test plans and communicate findings on open defects, contributing to overall quality assurance efforts.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s (or foreign degree equiv.) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related plus 1 year’s experience as a Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer or related.

Salary: $67,000/year - $75,000/year
